Why do I paint?
I paint because I have always done so. I paint because I so enjoy the process and because in my mind I create places I would wish to be. A spiritual peace, if you will. There is a meditation in yoga where one imagines a place and then puts him or herself there. I do that with my painting.
I've added some new galleries to the original site: Melange, E Pluribus Unim and Repetition all developed using and recombining materials. Some of those materials were drawings or paintings that I had done; others were from imagery I had found. The only constancy is the artist's hand.
